My S3 Vendor is not included in the supported list on JetBackup 5?

You can find a small list of S3 Vendors that are supported with the new S3 Compatible plugin at https://docs.jetbackup.com/v5.1/adminpanel/Destinations/destination.html. If the vendor you are using for S3 Storage is not on the list, you may try to configure your destination as a Custom Vendor. So long as the vendor fully supports S3 Compatible API, then it may be possible to configure the vendor as an S3 Destination on JetBackup 5.

Follow the instructions found in our documentation at https://docs.jetbackup.com/v5.1/adminpanel/Destinations/DestinationType/S3.html#custom-vendor to get started setting up your S3 Destination.

Please Note: You will need to have the following information ready to configure a Custom Vendor:

  • Endpoint
  • Access Key
  • Secret Key
  • Bucket
  • Region

The Access Key and Secret Key title may vary across different vendors, for example, BackBlaze B2 uses keyID and applicationKey respectively. Please refer to your specific vendor's documentation for more information on the items listed above.
