If a user is mounted within CageFS, JetBackup 5 will add the associated path to the cagefs.mp file automatically. In cases where it may have been removed, or CageFS was enabled later, this is how to correctly re-add the exclusion and allow JetBackup for WordPress users to access the socket using the JetBackup 5 Integration toggle.
Environment:
- CageFS Enabled for User
- CloudLinux OS 8 and above
Symptoms:
Cannot find JetBackup Linux socket
Cannot enable JetBackup 5 Integration toggle in JetBackup WordPress Settings
Resolution:
1. First, verify the Socket Permission is enabled on the JetBackup 5 Permissions panel:
- Go to JetBackup 5 > WordPress Integration > Allow Socket API for All Users
2. Next, verify the JetBackup 5 tmp path is added at the end of the /etc/cagefs/cagefs.mp file:
# JetBackup tmp mount point
/usr/local/jetapps/tmp/jetbackup5
3. Once saved, simply remount all CageFS-enabled users to apply your changes:
cagefsctl --remount-all
