Can I use a JetBackup 5 backup to migrate to a WordPress site?

If you're planning to migrate your WordPress site using a backup created with JetBackup 5, it's important to note that this backup format is not compatible with the JetBackup for WordPress plugin. Backups generated by JetBackup 5 use a different format than those created by the WordPress plugin, which is designed specifically for WordPress site data.

To properly migrate your WordPress website using JetBackup for WordPress, kindly follow the steps:

  1. Install JetBackup for WordPress on your source website.

  2. Create a backup using the plugin.

  3. Download the backup file from the plugin interface.

  4. On your destination website, install JetBackup for WordPress.

  5. Import & Restore the downloaded backup using the plugin's feature.
